Most of this song was recorded during the "Georgia" sessions, but the unfinished song was shelved and abandoned before it was mastered for the "Georgia" LP. When contemplating material for the "Ships in the Night" album, the tape of this song was pulled from the vault and given another listen. New strings and horns arrangements for the song were written, background singers were added, and the song was edited to make room for an electric guitar solo. The changes were meant to make the song conform to the "groove" of the "Ships in the Night" LP.
